Most super8 films you see on this page are no longer available. I have successfully processed many of these old films. This page contains the most testframes of all, so check it out! The images you see give an idea how a processed film of that type can look like. It does not mean that all film will be like this. So just enjoy the pictures.

3M A label of a super8 3M cartridge. It says very clearly process EM-26. It had a good result after processing.

3M We all know 3M (Minnesota Mining Machines) from various products. They have also made super8 in the past. This was a colourfilm. I processed this with good results. A little strange was that the base was polyester, this could mean it was manufactured from or by Fuji?

boots super8 Another Boots super8 color film. The result was very nice. Click the image for a bigger scan.

boots super8 Boots super8 color film. The result was like a Agfa film, mostly greenish, click to see the beautiful Boots logo.

boots super8 A third version of a Boots super8 color film. Click the image for a bigger scan.

Cine-X Here a black&White Cine-X film for double8. I processed this with good results. Click the image. I did not know where this film came from, but Bart Sanders told me: 'This is a brand from John Schwind USA and it contains ordinary Kodak material. Cine-X is Plus-X and CineChrome is Kodachrome 25. John let's Kodak produce larger amounts at request. The demand from Kodak is that the product does not say 'Kodak' anymore. [Lab's reaction: The Pro8mm films are also original Kodak emulsions. Pro8mm can not sell these products as 'Kodak'].

Ferrania

Ferrania super8 color film. Ferrania, an italian company, was bought in 1964 by 3M (Minnesota Mining Machines, known for "Scotch" sticky tape etc.).
The scan you can view is made out of three separate scans. I did this to show you that the original exposure has a great influence on the development of the film. So click the image to see for yourself.

fomapan double-8 Fomapan double-8 black and white film. Good image quality for a cheap price. Good film to make your first scene's with. And nice to use it when you want a different black and white film look.

fomapan doubleSuper8 Fomapan doublesuper-8 black and white film. You can buy these films new in Prague as far as I know.

FreeFilmService

FreeFilmService

The brand Freefilm is not know? At least I can't tell what it is. Can anybody help? The label mentions 'free film service' and it is a true super8 cartridge. Click the image to view a large label.

Fortepan Not super8 but double8 black&white cine film. I processed this with good results. The same story like Fomapan double8 above.

Perutz

Perutz super8 color film. I processed it and there were very beautiful images, click the image to see one.

Perutz was once a film company in Munich, Germany, and was later bought by Agfa. Today it's another label for Agfa.

Prinz color Prinz super8 color film I don't know this brand. The result was as good as the Perutz film above [the names are alike don't they], there are good images in the middle but some overexposed spots near the edges. Click the image again.

Revue Superchrome40

Revue Superchrome. You don’t see these very often; it is a famous ‘mail-order’ film in Europe. I find them regular in old super8 cameras. I made some scenes on one of them. It’s hard to process them in a good way, the colors always become strange and their often green or green with a little red. It is nice, I like it but please judge for yourself and click on the picture for a larger format.

Revuechrome was always identical with Agfachrome, only a different label and printing on the edge of the film.

Revue Superchrome40 Revue Superchrome. Was also processed. A strange effect with half negative and half positive images. I liked it, too bad I cannot show you a scan.

revue rch Revue RCH super8 colour film. Click the image to view the basic box of this super8 brand.

Sakura Sakura super8 color film. Sakura is the Japanese brand of the Konishiroku Company, you know for sure the "Konishiroku Camera" or "Konica". So click the image to see for yourself. The image is in fact two separate scans with the same thought as above.

Tacma A 16mm from Tacma [or Tasma?] The film had a very beautiful surreal atmosphere. I do not know anything more from this brand except that there is a website http://www.tasma.ru in Russian that I can not read. Click the image to view a large image.

tacma Here another Tacma or Tasma from Russia. (Also 16mm film). I guess this one is also made by http://www.tasma.ru. Click the image to view a large image.

Technicolor A super8 Technicolour film. Click the image to view a large label.

telechrome

telechrome

This is a Telechrome brand, if anybody can give more info? I know it was made in Italy. Click both images for a scan.On the the cardbord box, and the other the label of the cartridge.

And as extra telechrome a scanned frame of this processed film.

unknown filmtype This is the third unknown super8 brand cartridge that I developed. The contrast was low, but still good visible quality. Click the image to view a large image. It looks very much like an Orwo label don't you think?

All names are © by their respected owners.
