The workshops are cancelled for this moment because of lack of time.
The
Super8 Reversal Lab offers courses which enable artists and filmmakers to print
their own film. Basic knowledge of super8 or 16mm film is not required. The
idea is that you as a film maker can print your own work with your own qualities
as an artist. The Lab will teach you two main things: how you 'should make'
a print and how 'you can' make a print. Prices include basic materials. More
filmstock can be obtained in consultation with the Lab. Make sure you read the
general conditions as well.
Francien van Everdingen and Frank Bruinsma are both active in the [experimental-] film and art world. Francien is well know as a filmmaker. Frank is -of course- the driving force behind this Super8 Reversal Lab NL but has also made several short films [see the Frank pages]. You can say they are both film fanatics with a healthy attitude. They gave courses at various art schools allready.

general
conditions for courses
For each
course there are the following conditions:
Frank has gives several workshops over the past few years. The main purpose was to teach processing your own super8 film and to give technical support and advice about super8 filming in general. The students learned how to work cheaply, quickly and effectively. A lot of them are still working with film and have built their own developing facilities at home. Frank has a lot of know-how because he has been working with s8 since 1993.
Here is a list of workshops that were given.
This list will no longer be updated any more. You can visit the Lab if you want to see how things are going. Please make an appointment by sending an or a postcard. (Bring your friends?) If you are interested in a course by Frank Bruinsma you can always contact me.
So see you in the Lab! Frank Bruinsma, December 2000.
